After a disappointing draw against Bankers earlier in the season, the mighty M2s needed a result to redeem themselves. Jos Brown came inches from opening the scoring the full length dive at the back post. Jonny Beaumont was the second to "narrowly" miss after rounding the keeper. Bankers were a vastly improved side from the first fixture, but so were the Dragons. Both teams had more chance in the first half, but the score would remain 0-0 at half time.
Plenty of talk at half time to remain calm and keep grinding away. Solid midfield work would halt the opposition midfield and allow for greater control. Seb Carter would be the next to almost open the scoring, after running the length of the field with the ball, only to end up flat on the ground behind the goal?????? Never give up! Seb opens the scoring on the 50th minute and has his first goal for the team as well as club. James Goldthorpe would get the second eight minutes later.
A quick change of formation to see out the game, with the final score of 2-0.
Player of the match to Shery for a dominant midfield performance, with special mention for Seb's efforts and Richard Davies solid play
