We welcomed Horncastle 1s for the very first time to Storthes Hall. The Dragons opened the scoring after five minutes with Rich Waugh's slightest of touches to take it past the keepers near post. Horncastle would equalise ten minutes later from their own PC with a great drag flick into the roof of the net. Another ten minutes had a deflection find the back of the net for Horncastle. 2-1 at half time.

Play was even in the second half with both teams having chance, however despite some amazing saves from Bob McCallum and defensive strength from Aidy Hannam, Chesterfield would find the back of the Dragons net twice more. A 4-1 loss would also be the second loss of the season.
