Awards, speeches, drinking, and dancing.

Thanks to everyone who turned out to celebrate the end of a wonderful dragons season. We enjoyed a great meal at Fixby Golf Club, followed by drinking and dancing.

We have a number of annual awards that get presented on the evening with some very worthy winners.

Team player of the year.

M1s Peter Lee
M2s Ben Lewis
M3s Mark Wood
M4s James Auty
Dev Tyler Williams
L1s Fran Bridge
L2s Lottie Turner
L3s Alex Wagstaff

Our Greg Dallas award winners are selected from players who won their respective teams players of the season. One male and one female. Our female winner is an exceptional young lady, a solid defender and wise before her years, she can always be called upon for the right answer in training. Our male winner had never touched a hockey stick until last summer. One of the few men to come through our 'back to hockey' program. His first season he volunteered to captain the M4s and he's played for any team that's needed a player. For someone so new to the game he has developed a love of the sport already. This year's winners of the Greg Dallas Club players of the year were Lottie Turner and James Auty.

The David Mitchelmore club person of the year can be given out to someone who has contributed to the club both on and off the field. We are a club of volunteers. Umpires, coaches, team managers, committee members. Our club would not be here without them. This years Mitchelmore winner is a permanent fixture at the Sunday junior training sessions, coaching juniors and helping develop the next crop of dragons. She has stepped in on a thursday to help coach seniors, some of which are the best part of three times her age. She not only contributes to her side in the way she plays, but also stepped up to captain and has done a fantastic job with a very young squad. This years David Mitchelmore winner is Emerald Hellewell-Weir. A special mention to Fran Bridge who came a close second to Emerald. You will both be missed next year.

See you all at the AGM. Keep your eyes peeled for the date and location to follow soon.
